Ok, we've got our first battle coming up (a sure-to-be-hectic Ascendancy match), so it's time to decide when we're going to play.

First off, the list of players:

Red Team
Lord_Xan, Sneaky, Dfens, Noman, Bean, Flux, Mako

Blue Team
Nevets, Shrimp, Rommel, PeterPan, Cataphract, Fatman, Dojee, Savage

So far we have Sunday (10/07/2005) at 21:00 - is everyone happy with this?

Those are the teams for tonight, yes. Unfortunately not everyone can play right away due to the nature of the ladder. However, once all of the maps have been occupied everyone should be seeing more action.

Sorry, Nevets, I can't allow that. We need to stick to the player deployments we've got otherwise we risk unbalancing the whole ladder.

Thanks to everyone who played. I know the teams weren't balanced, but that was one of the big things about the 2nd ladder - that matches will be played as is. If I start messing around with player substitutions or additional bots the whole tactical map aspect loses its value. Still, if you have issues, let me or Cat know and we can talk about it.

It seems an UZA ONS Ladder wouldn't be a Ladder without a rough start. :)

I'll post a Round 2 update shortly.

Hi ppl,

Soz for having to leave but my arangements with the power that be state that games take place after 22:00. I can however make different arangements to start at 21:00, but then it is crucial that we start at the specified time.

Same here. Maybe we need a rule to state match starts no longer than 20mins after start time. If its an admin issue, its a different story, but waiting for others must be limited cause waiting for 1 causes 2 players to leave...

Just a thought.

Fatman, Pan - I agree completely. I'll police this more stringently in future matches.

Also, I don't think we'll have any problems keeping the matches at or later than 22:00. I'll keep that in mind when you guys are involved. For other matches we'll keep with 21:00 (or maybe slightly earlier in case of multiple matches).

We still had fun and it was good to play some onslaught again. That map is awesome and very easy to play, but intricate enough to spend time learning its intricacies.

Thanks to the guys in the blue team. We showed courage in the face of insurmountable adversarial forces! :D
