Voice problems on lan

Here's the problem.
Me and a friend play UT online and the voice chat works perfect, but as soon as we play on a lan it just won't work.

Any idea what's wrong?

ye. Voice comms does not work for the person running a "listen server", which is probably how you guys are doing it. And by "listen server" i mean, not having a dedicated server on a lan but someone hosting a game from their ut by clicking "listen".....

If you're at a LAN, you may need to shout louder than usual, depending on how far apart you are.
