Best tip is to hold the primary fire button down when you have the flack cannon and just run around.

what connection do you have? going from LAN -> ADSL shouldnt be a problem, afaik. so i'm assuming you either have ISDN (64k) or 56k. which is it? aanyway, you just need to get used to compensating & learning how long before the time to hit "fire" and make the shot. thats it, in a nutshell. learn to compensate, and judge your shots.

That's what I usually do :o , doesn't help.
I'm using ADSL, but I can't seem to compensate and time the shots, it just always seems like players are popping in and out of view and that it takes longer to score a kill.

It's rather easy once you have the hang of it. Just try and judge how far ahead you must shoot in front of a player to compensate for the milliseconds of latency. It'll come with practice and eventually becomes so ingrained you'll be battling to play on LAN :P . (Well, that's what I find in my case).
