I understand that a clan name has a precedant, and no one would like it if their clan name was destroyed by a radical team member in any way.

So, you are correct in saying that a clan name is not just a name (for reasons stipulated above).

But in this case its not relevant for two reasons:

1. Its a totally new clan name (at least in our community)
2. Likwid is not part of another unreal tournament 2004 clan, so no other name is at stake.

Therefore in this case, a name is just a name as it has not had time to accumulate a precedent.

(By precedant I mean the abstract value attached to a given clan name which has developed a reputation)

There is absolutly nothing wrong with a clan forming so suddenly. TA formed before most of the members even knew unrealza even existed. Most of us only joined the forums after we started playing online. like after our first or second clannie. Camel and Maximus were the first 2 to join the forum organized a clannie or 2, we played then the rest of us started joining the forums. My first clan match was only like the 3rd time I played online.
