Gears of War Xbox 360 co-op?

OHAI! :)

Ok, so since playing Gears of War PC I've become a ridiculously huge fan. And now I want to grab some co-op achievements for the Xbox 360 version before Gears 2 comes out. Bean has been kind enough to co-op the PC version with me - any takers for the 360? I'd much, much rather play with someone from UZA than anyplace else!

I promise not to question your heritage if you die lots. Oh, and I won't talk about Onslaught the whole time. ;)

Not sure you'll get all those achieves by just doing the last bit, you'd need to play "x" amount of chapters in order to get the respective "Play as Dom" achievements. Same goes for each act for the story achievements. You could, however, possibly get the achievement for finishing the game on Insane if you just do the last bit, but don't quote me on that.

I'm up to 10 times (4 of which were on Insane), but I'm still having fun! Yessir, I'm gonna love Gears 2 looong time. :D

lol! i usually only see them when i check my messages after "quitting" a game since i never notice any game invites while playing, and in GoW2 its no exception! i finished my obligatory "get it out of the way" normal play through yesterday, so im busy on hardcore.

I'm still hammering away at Normal (oh, the humiliation!) but I'll give you a shout as soon as I'm done. I also have to upgrade to Gold first, but that should go quick-quick. I am very much looking forward to some co-op, moreso with UT buddies. :D

Lord Xan - did u try any UT3 on XBL? We set up quite a few matches and I must admit it was pretty awesome. Querky with the pad but u get used to it.

No, haven't tried it. I've played some FPS with the controller, but for UT3 I know I'd prefer the PC version.

By the way, did anyone get one of those magical codes you're supposed to get, which enabled you to download 5 additional maps? I got the collector's edition, and I can't find anything of the sort, and was wondering if perhaps they didn't give them to us, since SA's not supposed to have XBL access :(.

Shrimp, the current story is that no copies in SA have any codes, but no-one knows if this was intentional or not. The folks at LazyGamer managed to make Epic aware of the problem, and they in turn promised to follow it up with Microsoft. However, with no official XBL support I'm not holding my breath that Microsoft will own up*. There is some hope, of course - many European countries are experiencing the same problem.

Microsoft certainly has some rep to salvage. They cocked up Fable 2's codes as well!

*Apparently the codes are all printed on the 48-hour Live Trial card that is supposed to come with the game.
