LCD Upgrade

Hi guys,

I am looking to buy a new LCD monitor, I am mostly gonna use it for 3d renderings and CAD programs with the odd game on the side. I am looking at about 22" and want to spend between R2600-R3300 ish..

I like the Samsung, LG and Asus ones, if anyone can help me with some info or feedback on personal experiences..

I have no idea, I bought a 19" LCD Wide BenQ, and I'm really impressed with it.

I got myself a 22" Samsung 226BW late last year, not sure if that exact model is available any more, but the thing is amazing. Working with graphics, playing games, reading text, playing games, watching movies, playing games, web browsing and playing games all look excellent, no dead pixels, great response times (no ghosting), and brilliant colour.

Pretty much the most awesome display I've ever used or used... :thumbsup:

narrowed it down to the HP W2207h and the Samsung SyncMaster 2232GW (which is cheaper and i think is the new model of seafood's)..

Where did you buy yours seafood?

I got myself a 22" Samsung 226BW..

Bought the same model. Lovin' it.

heya,

Just watch out, the 226 had numerous panels inside. If I remeber correctly it has an S panel, C and A.
The S was the best panel, the C was a Chemai, being the worst, and A was the 2nd best, and could be made to look the same as the S with some adjustment.

I think the new panels are all S, but rather get the model no (serial or whatever) and check on the net to see if its got a good or bad panel.

well i see there's a Samsung SyncMaster 2232GW and a Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW...

dunno what is there difference? seafood?

As far as I'm aware, the "G" models are glossy, which I personally hate with a passion. I'm not really sure what the "B" stands for though :D.

Perhaps track down some reviews for each and see what they have to say about them? :)

I can't seem to get hold of these 22" Sumsang LCD's... Incredible Connection has but the prices are bit higher..
