I finally installed Orange Box (Steam is still a steaming pile of....) that took me a lovely 5 hours to do, but after I blasted through the mega-fun Portal, I gave TF2 a spin. Man, how much fun is that game!

Screw 13 weapons and vehicles and dodge jumping and all that, no - strip the FPS genre down to its basics, add some distinct, fun classes, have pretty damn visible models, and stir in some rollercoaster ride fun.

I played a few maps this afternoon and it is really a blast.

Who else is playing?

I am.
I don't find it much fun, I do play it though, but only because I can't play BF2142 atm.

Aww zyron :/

You a damn good engineer, but I can see why you'd prefer bf2142. You're a fuxing legend in that game (not like Will Smith though) :P

Im playing TF2 regularly and I can see it being the online game for me for the next year or more.

My nic is Ruckus (Like Uncle Ruckus from the Boondocks).

I've tried all classes now, and haven't quite figured out Engineer yet, but I just love the scout. That turbo-run of his just rock. Medic is also cool if you have some heavies.

I find the idea that you can choose one of the nine classes with every respawn a stroke of genius. Adapt your team to counter your enemy's playstyle.

I HATE YOU!!, Backstabbing spy :P
I was running with a knife (which I know I shouldn't have been so don't tell my mom) and I tripped over your sentry guns feet whilst you were facing the other way, it really was accidental and I offer my humblest apologies.

:P

Gamos: Im glad that I didn't have to wait for this game for 9 years. I only found out about the series this year, but Im sure the people who did wait that long are not disappointed. This is the most balanced, well designed game I've ever played. No 1 class stands out as superior to any other class, which makes the game a matter of taste. Its very much like playing rock-paper-scissors with the 9 classes.

No matter what class you take there is a co-operative class and a nemesis class. In short, I <3 this game :D

I've been playing it as well. Name = Zoiberman. It can be fun sometimes, but I detest the announcer and spys. :)

How the hell do you get past those damn turrets? I hate those as scout.
