I was quite keen on Hellgate's premise, but the numerous beta and demo impressions I've read paint the game in a pretty negative light. The gameplay videos I've seen also looked deeply flawed. :(

The Crysis singleplayer demo is scheduled for the end of the month, Slay, so no beta key hassles anymore! It was supposed to come out on the 25th of September, but Crytek decided to delay it so they could ensure the full game makes its November release.

Xan I'v also read those reviews but how many games out there had bad reviews but were actually good? Its just a personal thing I guess. Wanna try it before i go and spend cash on the full version I guess.

But the Crysis thing i didn't know about. When I was applying for the key it told me my system sucks i haven't really followed it after that.

I downloaded the demo and played around a bit. It's REALLY short and the levels feel kind of "rough", almost like the junkyard map in UT lol. I was expecting a bit more. I can't really get a feel for the game with such a short demo. Not worth the bandwidth imho.

I downloaded it at work on friday... checked it out on Saturday... personally it's kak... imho... well... I only played like 20min... but then again... the graphics and gameplay doesn't live up to all the hype surrounding the awesome video they had for the game like... er... 2years ago? :(

According to some of the people in the beta test, the demo is total crap, and it doesn't reflect how the game really is.

You're just touching the game since the level cap is 5.
Take most rpg/hacknslash games out there and play till lvl 5 and quit, chances are you won't enjoy any of those games as well and think its crap.

We'll just have to wait and see, hopefully it turns out a great game.

Hehe,da demo dont do da game justice, just got the ISO for da fill game,and yeh der lotsa bugs and flaws,but the patch is out and it does quite a bit to fix up da game :)

Otherwise the game is really awesome,atm im on a level 19 marksman.

I didn't play the demo but the real thing is fun.

It is like playing Diablo 2 , but with better graphics. I don't like the way you have to read a shit load of stuff to follow the story. But I sure like hacking 'n Slashing the shit outta everything.

I got a lvl 15 Blade master , I duel wield 2 swords and damn it is fun!!!!!!!!

I doubt that I will play it again after I finish it once, unless we get a patch to be able to lan the game, I hate this f**ken bullsh*t of have to play it online for mplayer.

I got bored of it, it feels very repetitive.. but again I was flooded with games and there are much better games out there then Hellgate;LonDon

I even stoped playing COD4, started with crysis, played NFS pro, started with UT3.... I wish I wasn't working...

we just set up a vpn, here in Nam so we lanning over the net and only dota works properly. UT I get a ping of 84 :/
