Yeah, its a pretty fun game.. the story is lacking a few departments but thats ok.. the rest of it is kick ass.

Bioshock is also coming out next month sometime so maybe wait it out for that, it seems allot longer than the darkness which I must have played for round about about 12 hours in total on medium.

It's terrible actually. The PS3 version blows (seriously).
Its also got a terrible storyline (I mean worse than Intercourse (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0141372/)with the Vampire (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0141372/)
bad) and I don't know if it was just SIXAXIS or a really bad implementation of
the controls, but that too was pure hell.

Definitely another title for the (bottom of the) budget bin.

It was the analogue controls actually, I was forced to take a stroll around
the graveyard for half an hour trying to find a way out.

That argument sounds completely logical and not at all like an arbitrary personal bias.

The game was based on a comic book series. I haven't read it so I cannot comment on how well the game implements that story line. I will say that I thought the game had some awesome visuals and a few nice touches here and there.

My breath is being held for assasin's creed though ;)

The entire platform is lacking though and the darkness is certainly
not the title to change that. At the moment there are no titles worth
playing on the PS3.

The intro of this game alone starts off pretty poorly story wise. I don't
know how much this has to do with the comic book, but it certainly is
in stark contrast to the overall respectable image of the mafia that's
exercised everywhere except inside this game.

Allot of ps3 games are being developed to play at 30fps .. if that isn't gimped, then I don't know what is.

BF2 is much better in my ever so humble opinion, and lots of people agree, since there's still a large player base.

It's pretty much the same game in terms of technology, but one's awesome fun and based in current times, and one's not-quite-so-awesome and is based in the future.
