Comment on AM2 MOBO

I dont need sli for this PC.

Looks good, I just never liked a mobo with onboard GFX. But other than that it is good :)

yea, ill probably get an 8800gts for it.

its gona be an el cheapo gaming pc :p might go for the AMD 6000+ with 2GB of 800mhz DDRII ram

btw, there is a price drop coming on all AM2 CPU's. Will probably be able to get a 6000+ AM2 CPU for around R1500 - R1700.

I might just get the 4800+ which is going to be around R1000. will see how the cash flow is ;p

wow, that sounds good, price drop extreme for AM2. I feel kinda sorry for AMD was the king for 5 years straight and now they are scrambling to compete . But I never complain if they reduce there price.

Hope it works out for you great man, and that will be 1 extreme cheap gaming rig ;)

Thats cause they have taken a backseat and not released much in the last couple years. They skipped the Core 2 level, and focused on quad core. They dont just push out products as quick as they can think of them - do yourself a favour and check out the AMD Phenom range. Thats what Im waiting for to upgrade by the end of the year. And check out the Phenom FX solution, cpu's and mobo combination which will take over the world!

PS - not bashing Intel (too much, the Core 2 is a nice processor)

hmmmmmm, the E6750 looks mighty tempting :p I see it is priced at R1745 at Take2.co.za! And it easily overclocks to 3.6ghz... stock cooling. Slap on a Zalman and im sure it will be just fine 24/7 @ 3.0 Ghz
