Hey just want to know if there are ways of improve latency or gameplay.

Currently I changed my netspeed to 3000, Should I make it more. My 512k line downloads at around 55kbps but latency is between 108 @ around 10 pm and like 150 - 280 before 10 pm.

I just hate it when my shots don't fire when I click... :(

there isnt much you can do.

1) Change your ISP
2) Make sure you have a really really good router
3) Your netspeed is about as low as you can go. I personally find anything under 4000 to be too laggy
4) get your own dedicated fibre optic cable to SGS :p
5) move to SA :p

So whats the guide to setting your netspeed? Think mine is on ADSL, not sure what value that translates to.

And also, anyone play around with your MTU? I'm sure Naut set is up real nice, cause he gets a consistent 28 ping, when everyone else is 36+, even people with the same gamefuel router (I think he has 1 of 'em)

You'll want to set your netspeed to whatever gives you a low steady ping.
Some guides ask that you monitor your FPS during this time as well, I doubt
it'll ever go low enough to be disruptive for most people, but it's worth noting.

The default is 10000 (just above the general guideline for DSL connections of
6000-8000), however the servers may have a cap on this rate regardless.

Configure some binds so you can increase and decrease your netspeed on the
fly for a while until you get it right.

There isn't really a guide for how this works on the client side since most of it
depends on the server setup anyway (client rates and tick rates).

Last night I experienced something awesome, I must have gotten a spike or something but my ping was like 20 for a few secs then it climbed slowly to 96.

And when I look at my ping it gets 64 ping but like for a split second and jumps like that around for a while. So do you think getting a better router could maybe help, coz I got a kak router. Or why could it be doing that. I thought ADSL suppose to be a constant line and not be changing so frequently.

I just want to get a decent connection so that I could really play :)
