Mac, if you looking at upgrading your k/b; Seriously, SERIOUSLY consider getting the Razer Tarantula. I've used the G15 and the Tarantula and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
It's a little more expensive but I reckon it's worth every cent more.
Well aside from fanciness i need a keyboard with a really really good FEEL to it, and the keys must last long, because I code quite a lot, i type a lot, so I need a keyboard which keys will last long under a lot of use. and not become hard or crappy, know what I mean?

I know what you mean. I wanted the same thing. The Tarantula has some marketing thing they call Hyper Response keys. They feel a lot like really, really smooth laptop keys, just bigger and more comfortable. They've also got a really nice low profile which helps with touch typing and gaming. Another neat thing about the k/b is that all the keys are removable. So if your keys are getting stuck because of bits of dirt, you can easily clean them out. (They even supply you with a key removing tool :) )
One (major) downside if you plan on staying up late coding and you don't have a room light is that the keys are not backlit. You can buy the little keyboard light adapater but you'll obviously end up paying more.
EDIT: To sum it up. It's still the most comfortable k/b I've ever used, and I've used a lot. Personally, I MUCH prefer it to the G15, but be prepared to pay a little more.

He must have had one of the first revisions. They had that problem. The revisions after that dont have that problem. I've had my G15 for well over a year and it still looks brand new.

well, my brother programs all day, and has used the Microsoft Natural keyboard for as long as they have been out.
I recently bought a microsoft confort curve, and must say, for the money, it is really nice. Great keystroke, nice and 'squishy' and is also very very good build quality (and nice and flat).
I had a logitech before, also a great keyboard, but I think I prefer the feel of microsoft nowdays.
I have not tried the g15, but R500 for a kb is a bit much for me atm.
Thanks for the input guys, what I also need is I need it to have a palm rest, and not be in that crap ergonomical shape, oh and jaymac I dont need backlit keys :P i really dont need to look at my keyboard anymore ;) I might look at the tarantula, but for almost R800, eish
/me considers microsoft kb :P
The tarantula doesnt look that great to me - Dont like the layout at all and those keys dont look close to a laptops to me. Cause thats what I really want, and why I haven't bought a G15 yet. What I am considering buying is the enermax, which is the closest thing. Igloo has one and feels pretty nice. But nothing beats my laptop, my typing rate feels like it could be twice that of my desktop!
Prices I have seen from distributors (ex vat):
Enermax Aurora aluminum kb , Black , heavy duty with audio in/out for headset , 2 x usb downstream hub , hairline brushed aluminum design , leading responsive scissors keys , blue LED indicator , ultra-flat , zero-degree tilt , extended wrist rest , polish towel included - usb R399
Logitech 967599 G15 gaming keyboard , foldable backlit LCD shows you crucial information during game play , Backlit keys with 3 level brightness , with 18 programmable game keys , media keys , with detachable palmrest - usb R499
Razer Tarantula gaming keyboard , with 32kb on-board memory for 5 different On-the-fly gaming profile ( upto 100 customable profiles ) , 10 programmable gaming hot keys ( 50 combination in 5 different gaming profile ) , include 10 custom FPS keys ( with logo) + keys removal tool ( for u to place custom key wherever you like on keyboard ) , with image buttons ( rotate , zoom in/out , 100% ) + multimedia buttons , with Headphone-out and microphone-in jacks , 2 x usb downstream port , with battledock for add-on accessories ( battleeye , battlelight .. etc ) R599

Sting, before you buy, make sure you try out the Tarantula. It's the best laptop / desktop combination feeling I've experienced. I've never used the enermax so I can't be sure, but I would recommend the Tarantula any day.
Mac, it has a palm rest. It's built in so you can't remove it, which may be a downside, but at least you won't have it falling off every time you pick up the k/b.
I'm looking more or a keyboard which lasts rather than a nice fancy keyboard. But I definately want a keyboard which has media buttons like next, previous, play pause, mute etc, so I don't dig that enermax all that much. That tarantula sounds really tempting but I wanna feel one first and the price puts me off a bit, I might look for a cheaper keyboard, but I've had a microsoft keyboard, it was ok, but after about 8 months the keys got really stubby and now you need a chizzle and a hammer to get something typed.
