Doesn't matter what it goes for new. The X800XL 512MB card goes for like R4000 new, but nobody in their right mind would pay more than R1500 for one. Retail prices are almost irrelevant. Did you sell it for R1000?

problem is, all of us are 'in the know'. Imagine the ppl that buy from Incredible Conection and Game. There are millions, and they must do good business, if you see the size of their stores and their locations.

So ye, it may have been a steep price for 'us' but to others, it is a good deal.

It is hard selling stuff on UTZA and Prophecy, as most of the guys here are either PC freaks or know someone who can buy from dealership.s

I dunno, i checked for the best prices I could get for the card, when i got it, it was R1200 ,and sybaritric still sells it for R1300.. so I thought R1000 really isn't a bad price.. but I guess most of us resort to stealing/buying fallen off truck special things :/ I dunno maybe I'm just stupid, but I also have contacts to dealers, with better prices than rectron , corex etc.. But Oh well, can't make everyone happy can we?
