LG Accuracy

After a 2-month boycott, I decided to fire up UT2K4 again. I attempted a DM against bots with the Arena Mutator set to LG. So I go, merrily plucking bots with my LG (took a while to get going since I was rusty, all of 30 seconds :D) and I glanced at my hit % at the bottom of the score screen. To be honest, I thought it would be way, way higher because I felt like I was obliterating those bots. Well, the scorecard reflected that I did, but my hit accuracy was only about 42% :(

Which leads me to my point. On average, what's your LG accuracy like (be it good day, bad day etc)? Just want to know whether I'm far off or not.

Oh, and is there a way you can check the accuracy for a specific weapon? Since the main scoreboard only reflects your overall hit %.

I will check mine later tonight, but I can tell you without having to look at anything that mine is going to be a lot lower than that. My biggest weakness in this game is my accuracy.

What's interesting though is when I upgraded my graphics card, my accuracy went straight up and I was hitting things almost every time. Then my card blew and I had to downgrade again and my accuracy is back to crap again. Go figure!?

If you have UT comp loaded, I think pressing tab (shown at the bottom) are the accuracies.

My accuracy goes from high 40's on a good day to mid 20's on a bad day :(

Oh noes, that clashes with my schedule because thats when Captain Morgan usually comes around. And with you and me both having a hit accuracy of 20% or less, we'll never be able to finish a match.

well then G, you must go around shooting blank shots when you do not see me around. Cos most of the time we have an encounter, you hit me with thaat LG plenty :(

I'm at about 95% consistancy.

95% of the time I miss completely, and 3% of the time I accidentally do hit someone. The last 2% is when I hit my own teamie.

If I play against a fast moving player I always tend to lag about 3 seconds behind him. So I usually shoot where he used to be 3 seconds ago. I guess this is some kind of mental lag. If I play against someone who stands dead still, I expect him to move a lot so I dart my mouse this way and that and I shoot everywhere but where he is standing.

While all this is happening I rapidly press various keys on my keyboard, the same way a noob plays something like the Street Fighter arcade game. Sometimes I accidentally hit a key combination which makes me perform a wall jump into the lava.

Yeah, mine's roughly the same ...of course there's always the odd exception where I can have a really awesome game at get mid-50's :D

Still, I think that basic percentage could be a bit missleading, as some might just be more trigger happy than others, and then of course your style of play has to come into account... Do you do alot of camping and picking people off, or are u a more "hands-on" type of player :)

As for checking other accuracy, is this the same as pressing F3 at the end of a game?

In a duel my lg is 60% plus but in ffa and ctf it drops due to more spamming and people smacking me in the back.....

Well it used to be about a 2 years ago. Haven't played much since and have just started again. Aims gone a bit rusty since :)

maybe i'm the only one but i cant seem to hit a guy who is barely moving for shit:( but if he moves i can anil him easily (most times) i dont know why but i can take slick shots with hitscans the same thing goes for css :(
