Tried Thunderbird for a while, works fine - nothing that made me go wow.

The best I've found so far (which I use for work only) is Microsoft Outllook 2003 which comes with Office 2003.

Nothings bettered it yet, and I've used Outlook Express for a while, which was pretty lame imo.

I use ThunderTurd, because, much like browsers, it's simply the best of a pretty crap bunch (for my needs).

There's no substitute for Gmail, as a webmail provider.

yeah i left webmail/gmail off the poll :/

Webmail really sucks though if you have to use it a lot. I prefer not to have to poll a website for my mail...

Well your topic was Email Clients not webmail providers, so it's all good man :D

Gmail FTW. No point using a client.

I need to since my work email is best retrieved via pop - and MOutlook does it.

But for personal use you're right. Gmail is great.

I had my work email redirected to Gmail. You can also send email from gmail from other accounts. So no matter what client I'm at I can access my mail.

Yeah, there is a point when you have over 200,000 messages to look after.

You can collect your Gmail through a pop account. So it's pretty easy to plug into Outlook and that's exaclty what I do for my Gmail account. It also means that all the mail going through that account is backed up on the Gmail server, which is pretty handy if I am not at my machine.
