Yo,

I am looking for some dedicated game servers that I can d/l to play over the net with some mates.

perhaps a racing game, or co-op shooter, anything really.

If anyone knows of any dedicated servers, please post here :)

I am sure he means dedicated servers for certain games, but preferably free. Things like Trackmania or the UT dedicated server for that matter.

exactly G. I am looking for dedicated game servers, as some cool games you cannot play multiplayer with unless you get the dedicated server. Also, if the game lets you play multiplayer without a dedicated server, it requires a dx9 card and to be able to run the game itself, which the server we have is not.

For EG, NWN2 is getting a dedicated server end of january, so I am looking at things like that (it runs under a dos like window).

Who would be hosting these servers? Are you just talking about private random hosted dedicated servers or, company (saix) types .. ?

Anyways, not to derail this - let me butt out now :) Don't think I can help.

I will be hosting the servers. Naja has a server on a backbone and needs some dedicated servers so the Naja folk can play some games :)

Haja - Are you lookig for freebies, or are you willing to pay a monthly or the dedicated server? I might be able to organize a deal through IS?

hmmm, perhaps let me re-phrase.

I have a server, and I have BW. I am looking for dedicated servers to run on my box. An example ws Trackmania, which has a dedicated server.

We have ut2k4 running atm (using the dedicated server, not the game itself).

I am looking for more games I can run through the dedicated servers (the ones that run in a dos screen) as games that are started up and run as a multiplayer will not run sufficiently on the machine (like starting UT2K4 and hosting a game, vs running the game on the UT2k4 dedicated server made for it).

Maybe that clears things up?

Besides games, you could also run a dedicated TeamSpeak server. :)
