Apparently I "bought the wrong mouse"... the copperhead is supposed to be useless and broken or something, but I can't honestly tell a thing wrong with it.
What should I be looking for?
Never heard any bad reports about it, if it works - then that should be fine :)

karn, i think it has something to do with the software, the mouse itself I heard rocks.
I had one, and the only problem I encountered was that I kept losing the settings. I'm quite sure the new drivers and firmware have addressed those issues.

I'll tell Mburr he's smoking crack then.
Yeah, I had the problem a few problems when I got the mouse. The most annoying was when it didn't recognise the mouse on bootup, and I had to unplug it from the USB port and restart. A firmware and driver update sorted that out, and I am sure all these mice come out with those issues sorted.

strange. My diamondback must be be at least 1 to 1.5 years old, and I have never had a days problem with it. I have heard ppl complain about broken mice etc, I wonder if it is build quality or the way they are treated?
My Diamondback still going strong, 1 year on.

Yup valid question except not a single Logitech I've owned has ever done that.....

My options was Razer or the MS Habu
The Logitech doesn't fit in my hand. My thumb starts in the wrong place or something, and the buttons are too far forward.
MS Habu is a copperhead in a MS casing Karn, so they are the same mouse really.
Nope they aint! The copperhead suxors and the Habu roxors.
+ the side buttons on the Habu are interchangeable

Well they are kinda the same mouse, just put them side by side. One thing I did like about the look of the Habu was that it had a more raised front and looked a bit more comfortable. One thing I didn't like was paying R50 more for a Microsoft badge.

That seems to be a common problem, my G5 with setpoint also does that from time to time. Dont like the feel of the Razer so wont even give it a try.
sneaky strangely enoughi haven't had a single issue with my Logitech G5 since the day i got one never lost the settings once either (a little off topic :) sorry about that karn)

I have the Habu. Very, very nice mouse, but don't even try to play Freecell or Solitaire with it before updating the firmware and driver to the latest version. Heaven knows what special needs person wrote the first version somewhere in a sheltered labour center. :|

AH sorry slayer was afk during that period :P
It is Razor drivers, Razor Copperhead engine, and Karna tech powering that thing. It is for all intended purposes a re-shaped Copperhead with a MS badge, and comes with all the gripes and niggles the other Razor mice has.

Correction Gamos, it is not the Copperhead engine, it is a completely different engine.
Naut ;)
Well, the spec sheet is a carbon copy, so whatever is in there is pretty much similar.

It has the wild cams with a gas flowed head and a tweaked exhaust. It pushes out at least 4 more DPI!

Is it the Krait engine? Who cares, it's a "Microsoft Razer".
I <3 my Tarantula x a million
My Diamondback is sitting in a shipping container at the moment :( :(
The best mouse I have ever owned. My accuracy improved once I got used to it.
I don't think you can go wrong with a Razor.
