Hey guys,

I really don't play any game other than unreal, but I recently (today) started a little WC3 on battle.Net. Is there anyone else here that plays, and if so, on what server?

Also, which is quicker, European servers or American ones?

What!? You mean they have SA servers! That's like a dream come true :P

I have no idea how to access them and the lag is a little sucky to Europe all the time! How do I connect to the SA ones?

Just visit www.war3.co.za/forum . You will have to get something called a gateway editor. Not sure if they provide a link on those forums.

For Dota and non standard maps read this :
Be sure to read the ap system thing as well as its kind of important. You probably wont see many games up but there will be some up for the first 2 or so weeks as you will be ap 0, whereas most games are hosted at level 1 or 2 which u cannot see.
Part of a method to prevent people ruining games by quiting mid way through. You quit u lose your ap etc.

If you are looking to play normal war3 there should be no probs with ap system 4 you.

Well if your asking can u play the game without the org,yes!

I play aswell.
Its very easy. In War3 folder, there is a file called BnetGateway Editor. Open and add server:
Server name : SA-twilight server
Host name: war3.co.za
Time Zone:2
Then save. And kapow u can play :P

Oh ye u need to select the server when your in war3. The button next to Battle.net button :P

New War3 patch just came out ... 1.21 is wat u need to play on SA server. So dont delay, come and play.

If ur online war3 .. type /w Rakshas and say hi :P Maybe we can have a game.

Yes i am :) i play DOTA on the sa gateway and 1on1s on the european gateway i play with the name The_Hobgoblin if you ever see me say hello :D

Uh, I thought you were joking. I thought it was impossible to connect to a server using a cracked copy, but I've been reading aroudn and these War3 guys are pretty proud of their stealing ways. :( however, I am using an original game, for real!
