Most impressive 'noob' 2006

Yo,

We need a light hearted topic here, so here goes.

Lets put down our thoughts on the most impressive new player to UT that we can think of. it does not have to be clan specific, but most likely wil be as you tend to know the guys in your own clan well. Also put down justification, as it makes for some fun reading :

My candidate would have to be [N]Revenge.
For those of you that do not know, he is extremely new to the FPS world.
When he first came on, he showed some promise, but after KOTR took him under his wing and showed him the ropes, he started to move up the ranks at a fast pace.
Nowdays, his LG is deadly, if he sees you before you see him u better hope your head is screwed on tight :P His flak too can be deadly, and his game is going from strength to strenght. he is kicking the butts of some seasoned players, and beats me some night, even though I have been playing 5 years :( (ok, not a good benchmark, but still).

So hats off to your Revenge and I look forward to seeing what you can do in the future. Now u gotta start timing the shield :P

In terms of Onslaught my vote would go to ::KO::@. He's been getting good scores in some tough games. I'd very much like to see how he performs in the more structured environment of a clan match. :)

EDIT: How could I forget! Scrye has also been showing some definite improvement in Onslaught. He even uses vehicles to capture power nodes! ;)

LOL KO:Nameless and KO:@ are different ppl. My vote would go with KO::Nameless. He has made huge improvement and is pretty good with the LG.

Um.... I didn't even know half these guys were noobs... wow! Here I was thinking, "geez, I'm pretty good for matching up to these old plyers in such a short time...." now you're telling me that such leet players like Revenge and Bean are noobs!

In that case... probably them two, but if we're going for completely new noobs then either 4lien or Nameless, but eish, I don't really know. Maybe GM<Gorain>MF?

Tx boys... Thinking bout guys thats been here for a shorter period of time than myself, my vote will go for Nameless as well!!! He has improved a heck of allot on those long range weapons, and not half as predictable as he was that first night I played him! And heck, the guy's even pretty good with timing shields lately...

I would say it is a player who is new to UT. It is not derogitory, but ppl that have not been playing for long, say under a year. In the greater scheme of things, 1 year is pretty new?
Also, as you say, it can go for aplyer who has sucked or gotten better in leaps and bounds.

Yes... I must agree, under that definition I am definitely still a noob. In fact, I started playing UT almost one year ago exactly. In fact, the join date under my name for these forums puts me down as a one year and one month old UT player, and I joined the forums quite a while before I got ADSL.
