View Full Version : TurboCAD Help please
Hey people
I was wondering if anyone here (I am sure there are someone here) who has done TurboCAD before, I would like to know if you can give me a tutorial or a link to one as to the basics of using this, I want to design cupboards so it's nothing fancy, I just have no idea how to make it look decent.. Please if anyone knows anything more than 0 about this program and is willing to show me a few stuff. PM me please.

TurboCAD's crap. AutoCad or SolidEDGE or go home.
Thanks, will check into AutoCad, it should be able to let me make accurate scetches etc? 3D ones though. with the wood texturing prefferably

Indeed.
If you're looking at doing specificly 3D modeling, not entirely scaled drafting then you might want to learn 3Ds max or another 3D package. Autocad has very apt 3D capabilities though as does SolidEdge.

Hey, did the same in the last 2 weeks. You can also go look at a program called SketchUp 5. If you are looking for simplicity and being able to draw the thing to scale with a 3d camera view, this tool is gr8.

Hey there
I agree with Karn use Autocad for draughting and 3D Max for 3D moddeling the to packages work very well together. U can draught in AutoCad and then import it into Max to create your 3D.
I do this proccess everyday as I am a 3D Architectural Draughtsman.
Take it from me those to packages work well. ;)

Have you tried ArchiCad yet? It's got a 3d perspective with one click, nothing to import whatsoever(similar to making maps in worldcraft)
