Right round 2 has start. The riff raff have been destroyed( me... :( ..) and now the compo continues. All I can say is the 2v2 format has been a huge success. Looks like we have a winning combination here and i look forward to many more 2v2 fights.( maybe I win a few too ). LOL
The roster is up for the next round. Please give me a "hell yeah" as to who can make it on Tuesday. Really lookin forward to some good fights. ( gotta say my notepad is out and I'm taken notes )
Question... how the hell does SAM jump from LG to DD in roughfinery. Geez that got me. NICE!! Didn't even know that was possible.
Hopefully timing will be perfect Tuesday and we can start at the "almost" exact time. LOL :D Good luck to all!

Looks like tonight's game to watch is going to be Haja and Korpse vs Draven and Opiate.
My take on it is that it's going to be a tight one. I anticipate there's a good probability that Haja and Korpse will choose Roughinery as their map. As far as map choice for Draven and Opiate go, I can't really make the judgement call there.
Haja and Korpse have the advantage of good aim, and solid heads on their shoulders. I personally think their strat should be a little more tight than Draven and Opiate's, but it remains to be seen if they gel quickly or not.
This'll be their first game of the tourney, due to extenuating circumstances and a forfeit win, so they'll have to gel to each other's playstyles quickly.
On the other side of the ring, Draven and Opiate ooze raw skill. I haven't seen them play much in terms of TDM or duelling, but I know they can aim. And aim is 7/10's of the equation (something like that, don't quote me).
I predict a gripping three-mapper, where if Haja and Korpse match they're opponents' aim, it'll swing narrowly in their favour. If either of them is off-form, I predict a win for Draven and Opiate.
In the other tier, we have Sam and Gamos matching up against DJ and Jaymac. I predict a two-mapper for Sam and Gamos, but that doesn't tell the entire story.
DJ and Jaymac make up part of GM, GM being one of the newest clans on the block. And if any clan should take the award up to now for best improved clan of 2006, it's these guys. They have make incredible progress, both on their team play, and their personal games, but I predict it swinging the other way simply because of the sheer amount of experience and the solid style that Gamos and Sam possess.

I am also eagerly awaiting the Haja/Korpse vs. Draven/Opiate match. Oughta be a ripper!
Edit: Just to clarify, the rule is 3 maps regardless outcome. There is no best of 3 (2 map wins) victory, since points are awarded per win.

What a game last night. Haja kay vs Opi Drav... freakin stunner of a game. Very close and very well played. Honours though go to Haja and kay.

LOl soz opiate. Only the semi final is round robin due to there always being a uneven number of team eventually. Next round is double take action.

Gamos and Sam Vs Jay and I still needs to happen though. We had a comms problem - and concurred in postponing the game till tomorrow night (thurs)
Though we have uped our game, playing Gamos and Sam is no joke. We will have to wipe our butts clean from Bio goo if Jay and I don't put in our best :)
Come on DJ - Just get that comms sorted, time that shield and watchout for Sam's LG. You should be fine.

well myself and slayer played Mburr and scrye. It was a close... very close match. At some points it was touch and go as to whether we'd get 1 frag. But we did.
