Hi,

Friend of mine is struggling desperately to get Linux booting off his flashstick.

* 2GB flashstick
* PuppyLinux
* Knoppix

He can get Puppylinux to boot from a 512mb partition on the stick but no higher. Relevance being using a bigger distro and using more packages, more that 512mb. Been struggling really hard and not many people know much about this.

Any ideas guys? pretty please.

Ask your friend to load DSL(Damn Small Linux) on the 2GB stick and see if it boots, if it does then there is a problem with the puppylinux bootloader. Is he running the latest version of Puppy?
