Since the beginning of the week my Unreal connecton ping starts at 300 then goes to like 460. Last week it was 40. I'm running out of ideas here. I was told it was adware so I scanned removed anything i found. BUT same problem.

I redid my machine re-installed unreal but same problem. All my other downloads seem fine. I have used a another dsl account but same problem. Done the netspeed thingy to.

I was told there is a patch or program i can use to speed up the connection. Does anybody pls know what it is or where I can get this software. PLS PLS PLS.

I would love you long time should anybody know what the hell is going on here.

SGT, what ISP are you on. If you are running on the IS backbone, then thats your prob. I am getting 500 pings to SAIX servers on IS, and 60 on SAIX ISP's.

Aaah geez you right. Thanks man. the ping to saix.net is where the problem is. Guess I'm just gonna have to wait for telkom saix to fix the dam backbone. Shocking stuff. Contacted my ISP and they confirmed.

get a cheap SAIX account and switch to it when you game on saix network.

also saw an ad for 10c/mb dsl from @tlantic. if that runs on saix than that can be an option too if you dont play that much.

axxes also has a nice R99 for 1 gig account. it does not show on their website, but I enquired (and got it) and it is infact valid.

Just d/l their application off the website and apply for the 1gig / R99 option.

It is also on the SAIX network :)

For freaks sake. You guys are right. Apparenlty there is an Unofficial problem. My ISP has confirmed but the still suck bollock. SAIX are denying any faults at all. CLASSIC SA efficiency. Found some more on the issue.

only way I found playing on SA severs, is by having 2 accounts. 1 IS, and 1 SAIX.
Most of the time SAIX is better for gaming, but occasionally IS is better. However, if I had to settle for 1 account, it would be SAIx. Only prob is most of the SAIX accounts havea hardcap, wheres alot of IS let you d/l 30 gig of local stuff :(
