Link Gun

I can never kill people with the link secondary. Other chaps always seem to be able to zap me dead in seconds flat.

I was thinking about this the other day, and it finally dawned on me that my link gun is tuned for ONS! When I play DM or CTF, the frikkin thing is trying to heal people instead of killing them...

Anyone have a spare Link gun that is set for kill?

Just don't try and "heal" me! That seems to disagree most violently with my physiology.

:D I have been using the link gun more often in DM now and have found that with practice you can actually aim with primary and it is pretty lethal. Its also an awsome spam gun for clearing out a room and to combo secondary with a LG hit takes less time for a kill then the mini.

The real advantage of the secondary fire is the bloody nerfing afect it has especially usefull in ctf because you cant dodge or run away.

I recently found out that Link primary does 30 damage per hit, so now, what I do is spam with the link until I hear two hitsounds (which should knock a guy all the way down to 30 HP) then I fire up secondary and finish him off.

It's also a neat weapon in TDM if you just wanna soften up the bad guys for your buddies.

Something I find useful with the link - is if I see a mate heading up a battle ahead - I link to him - to help kick some ass :P pitty the frag isn't added to both our scores ;)
