managed to find some pages from the old site in my cache, this being one of them. i'm just putting up the "important" or more relevant posts from the thread:
I have indicated that I'll take the reigns and organise this one.
To make it work things have to be done democratically, and I don't mean democratically like the new South Africa where 10 wolves and one sheep vote over what's for dinner.
Firstly, the ladder has been completed so the one, single objective here is FUN! These matches don't count towards anything so I suggest that the focus shifts from "match-grade" rules to a more laissez faire, laid back style. This doesn't mean that there are no rules, however.
But, first things first: TEAMS
Under Xan's correcting hand (or calculator) I propose the following teams for comments:
The Reds: (Team names have no Super 12 connections)
Lord_Xan
Fatman
Savage
Fafa
Blade
Cataphract
Shrimp
Flux
Pox
Kwankung
The Blues:
PeterPan
Dfens
Xorac
Bean
Slayed_Alive
TheProven
Himmler
Noman
Biogizzard
Sneaky
What I have done is to put the highest and lowest teams together and the two middle teams. Just reading through the names makes my spine tingle. This is going to be tough!
If any player has had enough and wants out, I reckon we should allow the affected team to enlist a replacement of their choice. The matches have to be BIG and we need 10 people on a side. Do you agree?
Let me know what you think about the teams, then we'll chat about the sequence of the three big maps, and then we'll set some dates down! Very Happy
I suggest we play stock maps because of the better balance and gameplay. We can do Dria, Severance and Red Planet.
I also believe we should schedule the natches when everyone's back from the easter holidays and long weekends.
Let me know what you all think.
Cheers
CAT
Let's then get some suggestions for dates to work towards.
I suggest we kick-off with a well known favourite, ONS-Severance, on Saturday 9 April or Sunday 10 April.
Can you guys make it? If not, post an alternative date please.
