Some nights, I can hit most of my shots with the lightning gun (I can have btw 50% - 60% accuracy) wheras some nights its as bad as 5%. Is there any way to practice or are there settings that I could change to make my accuracy more consistent?
Also, what cross hairs do you guys use? I have recently changed my crosshair, and perhaps I need to get used to it or I have made the incorrect choice.
Any help will be appreciated :yay:

Well, I have recently changed my .ini file, my cross hairs, sensitivity... I think I just need to practice alot to get used to my new set-up.
I think my main problem is I had been playing with way too high a sensitivity and now I am not moving my cursor to the correct position due to the different sensitivity (esp. with instinctive shooting as you say ;p ). I had been using 4.00 when I started, Im now down to 2.75.
I guess I need to just put in time.
BUT, any help or suggestions are always useful ;p
Thx,
Syzygy
Mouse sensitivity settings in UT is largely dependant on the drivers that you use.
If you use the mouse drivers that come with your product then you should find that the mouse sens setting in UT is lower.
If you use microsoft windows mouse drivers then you tend to find the setting is a higher number .
At the end of the day , using the different drivers one does notice the effect , although everyone has their own preference . Just keep testing all the options until you find what ya like.

well in my ini file i have 1.0 sens setting
and ingame i have 1.85
i have mx510 with windows default drivers
and don't change so many settings at once do them one at a time
it works better for me than trying to get used to eveything at once.

thx for the tips and help ;p
I also need to get myself a nice 17" monitor.
I do agree with ya Bio, I shouldnt have changed too many things at once. But id rather take the knock now and perhaps be better in a months time or so.
Thx again for all the help!

the only way to get better, is the age old "practice makes perfect". Although, undeniably, some ppl have natural talent, and others have to work hard to improve their game, the one thing that holds true is we all have different styles of play.
I myself play with a rediculously low sens (about 1), whereas I have seen players with amazing aim (Enigma) play with a sens 4 times that. I guess its just down to personal preference, and what works for you.
Try different things, and as you get to something you like, you should start tweaking your settings to a smaller degree.
Gl, and have fun :P

I think of myself as anoob when it comes to games but here are some of the things that impoved my play.
Use Pink for your crosshair Noene has YET made a Pink Level so its easy to see!
relax and get the shot just right before taking it.
play novice bots in a map to get a feel for the map then play the propper inhuman or godlike bots before a LAN or Online dual.
Play Arena matches to master each weapon.
Last but not least SHOCK SHOCK SHOKC rifle! Oh the FOV thing works like a charm.
