who of u have used QOOLE before (Quake Object Orientated Level Editor) is it much like Unreal ED? coz i used to be quite familier with QOOLE wondering if i would be able to use my QOOLE skills on Unreal ED

They all similar, Im using Ued and HL2' hammer, which is apparently similar to quakes radiant editor.

ued is nothing near Qradiant, that I can tell you. I used to be a q3mapper to some extent, i also have a q3 mappack

The tools may not be the same, andthe way you would execute a task is Different, but at the core they are seriously the same concept
But scripting for the different engines would be very different

Similar in some ways - so different in others.
Many Unreal Concepts are the exact opposite of Quake concepts, like the way you start off in Unreal with an infinite solid to cut your world out of, as opposed to Quakes (at least back when I tried it) method of starting off with an infinite expanse, to add your world in.

However, as Flux says, the general concept is the same. I'll be honest though, after mapping in UnrealEd, I struggled to work with the quake engine. One of these days I'll have to take a look at it again though http://www.unreal.co.za/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

nah, qradiant is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch easier for me ^_^

perhaps radiant is easier for you Macera in the same way UnrealEd is easier for Dace. both just got used to using something else :)
