Red Team makes the following moves:
1) Dfens, Noman, Flux, TheProven and Boogeyman attack Adara.
2) Gizzlo moves to Ascendancy.
3) Gamos teleports to IslandHop (5 points sacrificed).
4) Mako remains at IslandHop.
5) Lord_Xan, Sneaky and Bean remain at Primeval.
6) Saderax, Minsc and Boo remain at Ascendancy.
/me farts in the general direction of anybody wishing to invade Primevil :P

well, in the rush of falling back, we forgot to take the pron vids and stuff.They are
behind the core, in the base of the last tree...incase u need some entertainment while u wait...:P

just slapped this together quickly, it includes xans moves posted above (including Gamos) and excludes the yet to be posted moves by blue & sAm (which is why its 14vs13 on the map)
i think this makes it easier (for me @ least) o see whats happening. i'll add some more pretty stuff later on and i'll try and keep it up to date as the ladder progresses.

Just a little correction: Nevets is in Torlan and Biogizzard is in Primeval.

I'd just suggest copying the style off the "Max Army/Points" text, and applying that to the names for a bit more readability, and just change the font colour to match the shades of red/blue the planet names are in (full red and full blue seem a bit hard to read on the dark/busy background).

KK here goes, this weekend will be ours !!!!!!!!
After defeat at Primeval Shrimp, Bio and Rommel fall back to Torlan.
1. Nevets, Bio, Shrimp and Rommel attack Islandhop
2. bots 1 & 2 transport to Dawn [ 10 points gone ]
3. When we started in the begining the first move for a player would be 2 moves therefore Sam moves to dawn.
4. Sam, Raliator, slayed attack Primeval
5. PP, Cat, Fat, Dojee and savage attack Ascendancy
Xan move 5. only happens if the following takes place [ PLEASE CLARIFY ]
1. we successfully defend your attack on Adara
2. On Defeating our players we attack the current four players you have on that map therefore your players could be forced to move back two possible 3 planets.
If this is not the case pp, cat, fat, dojee stay at Adara
This weekend will see 3 possibly 4 battles.

updated, find the new image HERE (http://shaman.za.net/images/onsmap2.jpg) let me know if the details r ok now (positions, colours etc) im just trying to find an image and then i should have it 100%.

I should've been clearer on this: The 2-move rule only applies at the start of the ladder. Any new arrivals can only move 1 map per turn (if not teleporting).

I pondered this situation for some time and thought we might add a rule that prevents this. My suggestion would be that attacking a planet forces any enemy players in that map to stay there and defend it.
It'll make things a lot easier and avoid the situations you described above. How do you feel about this?

No more attack on Primeval? Awww... :(

I have just had a chat with bean here and this rule will not work....... we need to view this and make some changes. This is why ...........
1. As you hold ascen.. you could ask 1 guy to attack each linking map of mine and we would not move anywhere, as i can't attack back :) get my drift :)
2. i think we should change it to my way, so if you attck me i can attack you with what u have left on the MAP.
think about it....

What if only the minimum required players remain locked when someone attacks? So if I attack some map with 3 people and it has 8 of yours, you only need to keep 3 there to defend it. The rest can do what they want, including staying to defend.
I'd like to avoid the "planet swop" situation as much as possible. With the above it can still happen, but hopefully not as often.

I'm still thinking of possible options here as i very much doubt that you would try that move because 3 vs 8 will not work. [ agree it will work fromm planets with a small BASE army size ] You will still have at advantage in the position u [ ASCEN ] are in as 5 can keep attacking Adara and 4 can attack Islandhop -> Stalemate
Another idea, you currently have 9 players on Ascen. of wich 5 are attacking Adara. If we successfully defend we can attack back but we would attack all 9 players.If situation allows, I might have players on another map also attacking Ascen.
eg: 5 from Adara and 3 primeval = 8 vs 9 [ your nine on Ascen ]
If i think of any thing else i'll let u know.
Xan another thing did u get this idea from Risk as i do have it at home and maybe i need to see what happens in thit situation.

Remember that I have to move my people if I want to get to your base. But I see your point.
I'm inclined to go with the multi-prong attack stategy as regards Ascendancy. If you play your cards right you can have the maximum number of people attacking it. Unfortunately I can't be more specific than that otherwise I'm playing for you. Let's just say you are on the right track. ;)

The premise of the ladder is based on Risk, yes. I suspect Risk resolves combat in two rounds rather than one (I move and attack/you defend, you move and attack/I defend). Maybe you can confirm that?

The premise of the ladder is based on Risk, yes. I suspect Risk resolves combat in two rounds rather than one (I move and attack/you defend, you move and attack/I defend). Maybe you can confirm that?
Yes - I think Risk works like that, and you attack into your opponents territory.

Eish, I suspected as much. Pity I didn't think about it when I drew up the rules. Unfortunately it's a bit late to change things now. I say we press on and keep this in mind for any future ladders.

That is what I fear! Instead of 1 vs 3, it seems I have a 2 vs 4 on my hands. Seems like I got handed a raw deal here. :(

Gamos, the game on Adara didnt happen (well it did, but was postponed due to server crashes which were occuring).
IslandHop is finish, and wont be replayed. since Adara hasnt been played yet (in its entirety) Round 4 is NOT complete. Adara will take place (again) this weekend and once its finish and a winner is determined, then only is Round 4 complete and then only will xan make his Round 5 moves and THEN only will nevets make his Round 5 moves and THEN only will the map be updated. :D
if need be (well i think it'll help anyway) i'll update the map immediately after the Adara game to show who has been pushed back to where and then again after the captains make their moves for round 5
